PPDV Free Assessment: 50 Practice Questions
This is a free practice assessment for Professional Product Discovery and Validation (PPDV), the Scrum.org class created by Ken Schwaber. The official assessment carries an 85% pass mark, so there is very little room for error — practising against a larger question bank first is the cheapest way to find your gaps.
The 50 questions below cover the same territory the class does: reframing solution demands into Business Problem Statements, finding satisfaction gaps in real feedback, ordering assumptions so you test the riskiest first, sizing experiments with the Truth Curve, choosing between feature fakes, Wizard of Oz and Concierge MVPs, capturing evidence on Test Cards and Learning Cards, and fitting all of it inside Scrum.
Most questions are scenario-based rather than definitional, because discovery is judged on application, not recall. Answer one at a time. Every answer — right or wrong — comes with an explanation, so read those even when you score the point. Nothing is stored and there is no sign-up.
Scoring below 85%?
That is normal, and it is useful information. The questions people miss most often are the ones about sizing an experiment to the evidence you actually hold, and about telling a senior stakeholder their favourite idea has been invalidated. Neither is learnable from reading.

PPDV is a one-day, hands-on class with no certification prerequisites, taught by Sanjay Saini, Professional Scrum Trainer. Participants receive a password for the official Scrum.org assessment, plus a free second attempt if they sit it within 14 days and score below 85%.
